exhaust tone

mk2_gt said that he didn't like the way the exhaust tone was on his new GT500. Not loud enough? He may be comparing it to his Viper . I guess it's one's personal preference but I like a more mellow tone at the lower rpm range. My 01 cobra has a sweet exhaust tone at 2800 rpm. I wonder how the gt500 sounds through out the rpm range. Does it have a "sweet" tone range like I call it? Hope to find out soon.

Robo, you are right , my comparison is to the Viper and therefore I am bias. I drove it all day today and the tone grew on me a little bit. it is still too mellow for my taste but acceptable.

our first gt500 vert showed up at our dealer today and i definitely have to say the tone itself isnt bad you jus cant really hear it. the car is really quiet. i think the regular mustang gts are louder. lots of exhaust systems wiill be sold.
