Its Friday night and I just went out to my garage and started up my mustang so I could pin point where the a/c drip leak was occuring. Because I wanted to fix it so that I wouldnt run the rish of damaging my passenger side header. So I started the car and ran the a/c for a while and when I shut it off- my shop light slid under my car so I went down on the ground to get it and I noticed a black mark by the weld on the passenger side pipe before the muffler. I then noticed water dripping out of where the black mark is. Now I know when you run the a/c and-or heat water drips out the end of the pipes as ive heard that they do on most fords, but to cause a hose in the weld before the muffler?? I don't know whats happening- or what could be causing this??

Was the weld weak? Is there water in my engine? Is something backed up?
ALSO SHOULD I PATCH THE HOLE??

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated!!

I have no idea if this has anything to do with whats going on, but my cooliant is near the low mark in the tank. I use synthetic oil. I also use fuel & carb cleaner every 2nd time I fill up.

Thanks.

Your using synthetic on a vehicle with only 35k miles on it? Why? Its just that I always hear of people switching to synthetic oil as the miles start getting close to the 100k mark...

I use synthetic in all my cars once they are broke in.

That black hole is probably a drain to let condensation out so don't plug it up. You'll see a lot of mufflers like that too.
