Im going to be getting a 1994 gt mustang and sound is really important to me. I live in Oregon and we have pretty strict emissions tests, so it needs to be able to pass with the after market exhaust. I want a really low gravelly sound kinda like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB9aZAU_xEg&feature=relmfu

What do I need to make my 1994 gt sound like that?

The midpipe and its catalytic converters is what will determine whether or not you pass emissions testing. You can replace the "cat-back" part of the exhaust with no impact on your emissions if your OE midpipe is present and in decent condition.

With that in mind, if you really want that "gravelly" sound, go with that catback. Keep in mind that in some places the police will hassle drivers with overly obnoxious exhaust sounds. As well, that sound might get old after a while...

Im sure you're aware but I just have to put it out there, the clips you "like" are of a 4.6, you're getting a 5.0. It isn't going to sound exactly like the video.

As far as your last question goes, violators are not louder than SLP loudmouth 1's. The LM1's are the loudest.
