Alright kiddos.. just wanting to double check the setup I'm planning on purchasing in two weeks times.. what do you think of these sizes???

MT ET Drag Slicks 26.0x10.0-15
Draglites 15 in. x 10 in 6.5 Backspacing

Running the current setup listed in my sig. Think I'm going to have any problems? I want to do 5k launches ;) I think it'll be kinda poopy anyways because I have stock control arms :(

I believe a 15x8 w/ 5.5 bs is a better rim choice

Hmm that's what I picked out at first.. but someone told me I would have better contact patch with the 15x10 and a 6.5 backspacing.. but you think the 15x8's would be better?

Go ahead and get the 10 inch rim....those slicks are about 11.5 outside to outside.

Dont worry....you wont spin at all if you heat them up. Infact you will probably bog the car with a 5000RPM launch....MT 10 inch slicks are no joke. = pretty much a dead hook.

Yeah I'm pretty much decided on teh 26x10 on 15x10 6.5bs :) can't wait.. also ordering a driveshaft loop just for safety

good call ;)

i've been on 15x8's & the car felt really loose going down the track, the 10's help out with that :) the only thing that i can kinda be iffy about is the height choice. if you plan on spraying it / boosting it somewhat soon, that 26" isn't going to be enough. if you do that you'll DEFINATELY need the 28's. i can't even get through the 1/8th in 3rd :(

Yeah I know 26 is bad for nitrous/boost.. but i dont plan to do either of those until a while down the road. By the time I'm ready for nitrous I'll be willing to buy new tires. 26's it is :)

Watch them 5 k launches . . . I noticed you got the internals upgraded, but I wouldn't even think of doing that on slicks without the axle tubes and torque boxes welded. Cheap insurance to prevent major heartache . . .

axle tubes are welded, I still have stock control arms so the bushings should bend

You run 1/8 or 1/4? in the 1/8 you'll be fine on a 26" tire. In the 1/4 you might have to hit 5th, or spin the motor past 6200. :(
I'll probably only run the 1/4 maybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky.. all we have around here is 1/8th, and I'm driving an hour just to get to that.

nhra says you hafta have a loop when your running slicks. dont forget the long lug studs, cause of the 2 piece wheels.
I won't have the 3" studs yet.. but the track im running at doesnt regulate anything really lol.
