P heads have a unique spark plug angle that makes it difficult to use with most headers. Guys have managed to make stock style headers work with a combination of 45 or 90 degree spark plug boots, and thermal sleeves on the wires.
Ford racing used to make a P-specific header that has been discontinued. You might be able to find a used set. There arer also some aftermarket headers that do work.
