I need to have a GT40 lower in my mustang for the Kenne Bell that I'm putting in later this year. Is the explorer intake the same thing as the GT40 lower? I know that the GT40 upper looker a lot different than the explorer upper. If they're not the same, then can I run a GT40 lower with an explorer upper?

Anyone have pics of an explorer intake? I'm just curious what it looks like in the engine bay.

Also how much of a hp gain can I expect with the GT40 lower and explorer upper?

Any GT40 style lower can be ran with any GT40 style upper. So yes, your Explorer upper will bolt right to the GT40 lower. The only person that I know of that had an Explorer on their car was RIO5.0. I have the Explorer, but I haven't installed it yet. It looks kind of like a Cobra manifold. If you spray her black, she'd probably look pretty sweet.

From what I've read, the Explorer manifold has outperformed both the GT40 and the Cobra. TMoss has an article that he sent me that AFM did a few years back comparing the three manifolds. The Explorer did the best.
