Explorer Motor Drop in.

Im strongly thinking about getting one of the Aluminum block Explorer engines from Karkraft. Im having a shop do all the swap and i have my original motor to swap everything over. Im wondering tho that the explorer motor is not rated at 260HP i believe its around 220? Why is this?

I beleive all the 4.6 motors in the Explorers are PI, but even that being so the power difference would come from different cams, different intake, different exhaust, and tuning differences.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

yeah, i would say they choked it up a bit with single exhaust and it's probably detuned for better gas mileage.
