can someone explain to me on how the "narrowed' the rear off of an explorer in detail? I heard that you cut down the long side to match the short so it will fit properly. I was looking at mine and I wasn't sure how to go about it. The brake side of the rear tapers down so I'm not sure what is the proper way

The proper way to do it is to cut it off the housing and shorten it that way then reweld it to the housing. It is a hard task to do by oneself becuase you dont want the degree of the tube to be different than it was before.

is the tube pressed into the housing because i didn't see any welds. That what i was thinking of doing but not sure if that was the way it was being done. have you done this mod?
