Anyone have luck with this? I was talking to a guy last night with an 89 Corvette w/ a 396 in it that has the complete F.A.S.T.Engine Management system on it and was able to fine tune every aspect of the car. Is there any advantage to having this system over having a professional tune done on an otherwise stock computer? Jerry W. tuned my car, and it runs excellent, but I was just curious if more tuning could be done with a F.A.S.T. system.

its definately a good system. IIRC it requires a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor and doesnt use a MAF. i would probably use it on a car that i was gonna race only.

Why spend money you dont have to..You can get the SCT racers package and tune your car just like jerry did.He has been the only one to touch mine..But i have the software so i can tweak certain things when i want..

I still run my stock ecu..My still drives as good if not better than a stock gt.And still pulls 19+mpg on the highway..

The SCT package allows you to touch over 700+ inputs in the stock computer..

About how much does the SCT racer package cost? Jerry definitely knows his ****; he has been the only one to tune mine as well; just didnt know if there would be more options available with a F.A.S.T. system. Thanks for the info guys

FAST computer is what 1300hp race cars use. Yes there are some street cars with it, but it is not needed by any means for a street car. One of my good friends has one on his 96 cobra when he did his 01 cobra engine swap. Hes now got a d1sc, but having idling issues that no one can figure out. Partly because FAST (Speed-Pro's) customer service sucks. Also if you use a fast all your lights on the dash will stay on. (check engine light, abs, seat belt light, etc) And you won't be able to pass on a obdII port for emissions.
