F-cam??

I got a ford racing F cam for pretty much nothing while im in the progress of building my 351 im gonna throw on ported gt-40 heads on my stock short block w/1.6 roller rockers and im wondering if the F cam is even worth putting in vs the stock cam I run 125 shot of the wet sauce and its a stick car also w/ explorer gt40 upper n lower intake with full exhaust.

Just wondering if this cam will benifit with my set up.

I can't help you with the cam.

But just in case. You know your explorer intake isn't going to work with the 351?

Headers aren't gonna swap over either....... F is a little steep for that combo, cause even with the 351 I imagine you're only gonna put out a little over 300 at the crank maybe depending on porting etc....Try and find something with better low end tq/hp than the f-cam I would say....just my 2c

The 351 is getting a solid hydraulic cam, vic jr upper n lower and some stroked internals.

I want to put the F-cam in my stock 302 just curious if it will benifit with my current set up gt40 heads gt40 intake and spray or should I keep my stock cam

stick with stock....ebay the F and make some cash for the 351. You might get 10hp out of cam swap

only 10HP over Stock cam? seems awfully low.

Yeah, I meant total. I'm sure some peak numbers will be up in the 20+ hp gains....but bottom end is gonna go out the window, and the heads and intake he has aren't big enough to take advantage of the big cam...but that's just my guess since I don't know the porting on the heads and what not. Are the springs upgraded on the heads also?

It'll pick up more on the spray than the stock cam will thats for sure . . .

They are stock springs out of the 94 cobra the heads came off of. They are gasket match ported. Intake is matched to a 1250 fel pro.

My buddy is begging me to sell him this f cam thats the only reason im asking if its worth putting it in.
