I am going to make myself a straight monte carlo bar for my '67 and was curious if someone could help me out and measure how long the round tubing section is (don't include the bracket). Anyone with a straight bar on their '67-'68, please help?

I want to see how far my towers have sagged over the last 40 years.

Thanks for the help guys.

I got 39 1/16" but my bar wasn't from a parts supplier, it was made from scratch.

In order to get my export brace to line up with the shock towers, I had to spread them apart to 40 5/8" measured just forward of the towers (where a stock Monte Carlo bar would go). When I released the spreader they moved in to 40" even with the Export brace installed. I too am hoping someone with a "production" bar would post the dimensions.

I have a curved bar from Branda, just got it yesterday. It is 39.5". It is specific to 67-68. I had a 65-70 bar that I got from NPD years ago and it was too wide by atleast an inch. It measured 41". Will test fit this one on Monday.
