How much power can a factory 2V block handle before it becomes a grenade?

I am thinking about building a 4.6 for 9-12psi of KB boost. Cobra steel crank, H-beam rods, forged low compression pistons, ported and cammed PI heads etc..

should be fine with that.

KB reckono a good condition STOCK block will handle about 400rwhp @ 9psi. I've had a look and spoken to lots of people that so far have had no trouble. Just need to make sure the tune is spot on.

The block itself IMO is very strong its the other components that are the weak links but you seem to have them covered so I would assume on the correct grade fuel and tune 14+psi should be no problem.

Stock block or stock SHORTBLOCK.

STock block can handle 1000+ as far as i know. The block is not the weakness. But the internals.

Ive always had a stock "block" and im pushing 700+crank hp..
