factory clutch cables from other years?

I have a 94 Mustang with a Tremec TKO. The clutch cable has snapped again.. I plan on replacing the steeda quadrant that I have with a MM style. What other years clutch cables can I use? I know I can get a universal for $65.00 but I have an opportunity to get one from a 96 for cheap. If this would work I would rather use this at the moment. Anyone have an thoughts?

i used a fox cable temporarily, but opted for the MM oem universal--glad i did.

What differences did you notice? I may have to just bite the bullet and buy an MM cable too. I was hoping to save some money but I want it done right.

the cable seemed a little on the tighter side. it wasn't too bad because i have an adjustable set-up (firewall adjuster + 3-hook quadrant) but i felt a lot better about it once i got the MM cable.
