Factory Radio Uninstall

Simply put, how does the factory head unit remove from the dash? Is there anything special or is it just remove the dash pieces and unbolt? This is unlike the previous models that I've dealt with and I wanted to get an opinion before I rip it apart.

i have a manual but i assume the center consoles are similar. there are two screws located in the back if you open the console compartment. take those out and i had to unscrew the shifter. then you can pry the whole thing off right in the front, below the a/c controls. then those two side plastic pieces (on either side of the radio)pop off. it made it a lot easier if i unplugged the a/c connectors behind the knobs. you can reach them once you pop those plastic pieces off. then u can remove the radio with a few bolts. good luck!!

its really not as tedious as it sounds. once you get everything off, its pretty easy to get back on. btw, are u active duty? i spent 4 yrs at d-m, az.

Check that out, when I first looked at it i was like o man this is gonna suck, it literally takes 5 minutes to take apart and get in there. Just don't get pushy and it all comes apart awesome
