Did Ford add subframe connectors to the convertibles? I saw what seem to be a cheap bolt in set of subframe connectors under my 93 Vert, but there are none on my 88 Vert. Factory? or cheap aftermarket bolt ins?

Cheap aftermarket is my guess. If I remember right they did add some type of brace for the convertibles(remember reading this somewhere?). I never owned a vert so not sure..:

No subframes, they do have an x style brace connected front and rear of the kmember. they also have 4 metal plates at the four corners of the body where the cabin meets the front rails (x brace bolts here) and in front of the rear tires. Also along both sides of the body pinchweld there are rails riveted through the pinchwelds...

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

They had plates riveted in. I wouldn't go so far as to call them sub frame connectors though.

You must have a set of full length weld in subframe connectors on a fox body- especially a convertable. Those bodies flex more than a gymnast.

I'm guessing aftermarket, They look like these BBK except they are tubular and not boxed. They also have the seat supports.
