Is it true that if you do any mods after 1,000 miles it reduces the factory warranty to 12/12,000 instead of 36/36,000. If Ford installs the factory approved Ford Racing parts.
Never heard that. I do know that fedaral law states that a dealer must show that any given modification ''could have'' caused a failure before denying warranty. For example, if you run a turbo, they can't deny a claim for a bad seat motor or trunk latch, etc. They could easily tell you to get lost on a drivetrain problem though.

Never heard of that either. I know if you do something to your car that creates a problem than yeah they may deny your warranty. It varies from dealership, some are cool and some aren't. I was fortunate to have a cool laid back one.
You need to check on the particular item. Some mods are warranted for 12mo/12,000mi OR the remainder of your 36mo/36,000mi warranty, whichever is more beneficial to you.
