Failed emissions - what should timing be N/A

What is the factory timing supposed to be for an 87 N/A 2.3L Mustang?

I set it to 20* for emissions testing, but failed today on HC.

The Haynes manual says to go by the emissions sticker, but I can't find the sticker. :shrug:

I will break out the tweecer and see if I can mess with the tune a little for my second run through emissions.

Any other suggestions?

Base timing with the SPOUT connector out should be 10 degrees. I believe that with the SPOUT connector in (computer controls timing now), timing goes to aroubd 24-26 degrees at idle. Can't remember exactly; it's been a long time since I've messed with a stock computer, but I know it's right in that area. Higher than 20 degrees when running off the timing maps in the ECM.
