How to replace the valve springs....Im sure with a 125k miles, mine are shot and they are relitivley cheap if your buying stock replacements. I know I need a tool to compress the spring but whats the removal procedure? Do the heads have to come off to keep the valves from falling out?

I have done it with the heads on the car before. I used a hose from my compression tester and hooked it up to my air compressor to pressurize the cylinder. Then used a compressor tool to remove them. I guess you could take out the plugs and bring each cylinder upto TDC and do it that way if you don't have an air compressor.
This is what I used.

I just did it 3 times, (don't ask) Make sure you have the right springs and keepers first off. I got the fitting to put in the spark plug hole, and hook it up to an air compressor, that keeps the valves up. Then I got a hand valve spring compressor for chevy's and just used an old intake bolt to hold the tool on the head, it worked great, I also tried the other tool that has the hand crank, what a pile of crap. If your going to go through the trouble of changing springs, I'd get some thumper heads and forget it.
