I could have a good deal on
2 x 245/45
2 x 275/40 Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires for to put on my new Cobra '03 rims.

I read some reviews on the web and they'r a bit noisy but one of the best bang for the buck out there, anyone else experienced these tires ?

Thanks.

they suck ass.

i used them, they suck. i told my freind not to use them....he didnt listen. his fronts lasted less than a year. our rears last less because...well you know. but ive used many tires that are MUCH better than these

They gripped better than my old Dunlop Sports when I had them. They lasted about 10k miles I think. But once they wore out, I got credit for the mileage since the Falkens have a pro-rated mileage warranty.

I have Falkens all around, paid $75 bucks a tire for them shipped to my door. Couldn't really compain with these tires and they look good at that. I'd rather buy two sets of these than 1 set of good tires even though I really dont see good tires getting twice the mileage. To each their own.

i have yet to be impressed with falkens.

the sumitomo htr+ is a good tire. they are currently on my 95. its a ultra high performance all season W rated.

275's can be had for $99 a piece. 245's are $91.

they're very quiet and seem to be 1/2 way sticky. only beef i have with them is the slight body roll in a deep curve.

I got Falkens on mine. They were cheap enough, they are a little loud, but I havent had any traction problems. I've bought cheap tires before that drove like a$$, but these are decent. No problems in rain either. I've had them 10K miles and still have a ton of tread left. Of course, I don't "rotate" the tires like I used to.

Consumer Magazine rated those exact tires you are talking about as being crappy as the best bang for the buck of the last year. With a 420 treadwear is is obvious why they like them and why you guys think they are crap. You need to take a step back and realize they market in which they are intended.

You buy an economy high treadwear tire and when it performs like that type of tire you think it sucks, but it was your mistake in choosing the wrong tire. Falken makes great tires for different purposes. In my opinion and the couple seasons of autocross I have run with them, Falken Azenis are the best DOT tire you can get. Grassroots Motorsports seems to agree.

I like my FK451's anf they have pretty damn good traction.. These are on the pricier side of falken but I liked them, Now the Ziex I liked because they last forever, my old 95's are now on my corvette and still have plenty of tire left. However the Fk's only lasted me about a year, Also remember I only drive the car around 6k miles a year.... So the wear sucks.

Frankly...I didnt buy the Falkens that are currently on my car. I bought the car with them on it. I want a tire that will get some sort of traction in the rain and be able to hold traction when its dry. Yes, they last forever (ziex) but they dont grip worth anything on my car and they are siped too! I will be buying some BFGoodrich KD/KDW when i purchase a new set.

Ya i'm looking for the best bang for the buck, I don't need tires that grips like hell. It's damn cold here and during night the temp drops alot so good tires or not, we don't grip cuz of the cold... I'm a poor college student, I want okay performance tires for a decent price.

The set I had on my '95 GT sucked big time. Very loud and had a vibration above 60mph. Had them rebalanced twice after the install, so I'm sure it was the tires. Grip was ok. Bought Continentals to replace them; much better tire for about the same price.
