Quick question... are those push through the radiator plastic thingys used to mount fans ok to use? Griffin radiator said not to use them because they can rub a hole through a core. Ive seen them a zillion times......... what are your thoughts? Anyone use them for a long time...... anyone have a radiator failure because of these??? Thanks!

If you want to risk damaging your Radiator, or worse having the Fan fall off and God knows what after that happens, go ahead and use them. I don't even like using them on trans coolers.

with vibration, they can rub the core and cause a leak

My last pusher fan i bought some aluminum bar stock from Home Depot, cut and polished it and used the same radaitor bolts at the mounting point.

I personally never had an issue with them, ran them on a street car for years, and currently run them on my mustang, but I have seen them rub a hole in a radiator on my uncles old chevy truck, but he also didnt use the foam cushion between the plastic and the radiator, so use at your own risk I guess...if you can fab up a bracket then thats probably a better long term solution.
