so i dont hear anything but when i push in the clutch it feels like something is rubbing or grinding. also my breaks are screeching almost everyday, but it's on and off at random times of the day.
alot of things,what year is your car or I mean how many miles on it,how do you drive it,easy or hard,you dump the clutch alot...the list goes on.For example in '06 it was about 35 degrees outside and because of an emergency I jumped in my car,no warm up time at all and I hit it...reved to about 4.5k on the tac and the TB went...and when I mean went,I mean lil BB's everywhere,never seen one go like that and I only had about 45k on it with original clutch...and no I dont drive hard.just on ocasions do I stomp the go pedal.
Oh and my brakes do the same..but my noise is caused from some cheap brake pads on the front,noisey,at times they sound as if they grind,and give off massive amounts of dust...these things are coming off quick.But i would check them and make sure they still got some meat on them.
Also here are some basic diagnoses I took from a web site..And a good tranny shop should diagnose it and even give a free estimate,if they are a good shop.
CLUTCH NOISE
Clutch noise is another problem that may be tricky to pinpoint. If a squealing or chirping noise appears or goes away when the clutch pedal is depressed, the cause may be a bad release bearing. Other causes include a bad pilot bushing, a worn or defective input shaft bearing in the transmission, a worn, bent or improperly lubricated release fork, a worn input shaft, improper disc installation, misalignment, damaged bearing retainer, loose flywheel bolts, damaged disc splines, or worn stop pins or broken damper.
A growling or grinding noise when the clutch is engaged may be due to a bad transmission input shaft bearing.
A squealing sound that occurs when the clutch pedal is depressed and held is usually caused by a bad pilot bearing or bushing.
A chirping noise that intensifies when the pedal is slowly depressed would indicate a bad release bearing.
