recently i put 275/35/18's on the front of my 94 cobra.

every once and a while if i hit a bump or corner a little to hard to the right, the driver side fender will make contact with the fender. this does not happen on the passanger side

is this because of the tire size or is the shock going out.

i have tokico blues with steed sport springs, and ive heard of the tokicos blowing fairly easy

hmm, didnt think my car would be to low as its not lowered all that much,

this picture is before i put the 275's on but after the lowering springs

so would going to a adjustable coil over kit help or maybe rolled fenders

also it never happens on the passenger side either, thats why im thinking its the shock itself

My tires rub occassionally too on big bumps, etc... I run a 275 tire in the front and I'm lowered about 1.5". I definitely think next time around i'm going to go with a 255 or 265 tire. I used to rub when I turned really sharp but the 03 cobra arms fixed that.

I run tokico shocks(ones off a mach 1) and ford c springs. So I know my setup is not matched correctly. I'm sure it would be a lot better with a nice set of bilsteins and H&R springs specifically for a vert.

im runnin 275/35/18s and have the same shocks/struts as chaos but run sportline springs in the front. everything else is stock thus far(a-arms, c/c plates, bumpsteer, etc etc...) and i dont seem to have a problem. only while at FULL lock left or right.

95strokerPSU, id also love to get the bilstein s/s set but theyre liek $600. are they worth the money? how good is the ride? obviously its a sports car so not cadillac like LOL, but what are ur feelings

With 300lb 10" coil-overs (MM kit) they're firm yet very forgiving. I had them with Pro-Kit springs and the ride was pretty harsh. I'm definitely sold on coil-overs...well worth the money.

This is good to know. I'm planning on running 275/35/18 up front because I would hate to have too thin of a tire on a 9" wheel. My car is lowered more than 2" so I'm almost positive I may have some issues, but I'm willing to take it because this picture convinced me. I really like the look of wide tires up front as well, I've got my weld's to make it look like a drag car anyway.

the griggs suspension allows for tires as wide as 315's up front from what ive learned.

im going to go with one of there suspensions in the future,

also im pretty sure one of my front struts is blown cause the rubbing because its only the one side that ever touches.

this also only happens on long rolling dips in the road, where there is a fast down followed by a fast incline so it cause alot of front end loading

other than that the 275's are great. only get rubbing on the driver side at full lock

The suspension in that picture is the sla front suspension from griggs and from what i heard they widen the front a little bit so i dont think that car could fit 315's.

And how much do the 275's bulge out on the stock cobra wheel viridion?

i dont have stock rims with the 275's, thats just an old picture before i put new rims on

i read on griggs sight somewhere that with the k-member and the spindles i think, that 315's could fit, wish i could find that artical though

could be wrong, could have swore i saw that though
