OK guys I have a 95 Gt that I am building as a Saleen clone nothing real hard core yet but have spent tons & continue to up grade & have a few questions.
I just installed new Upper & Lower Mac rear control arms & BBK subframe connectors, Kenny Brown shock tower brace & strange 10 way adjustable rear shocks. Installing all these parts on same weekend made a tremendous difference in handling & feel od car!! But I noticed that after only 2 weeks of driving the rear bushings in the Lower control arms are trashed already almost like they just fell apart & the rear sway bar is completely broken off on passenger side of car, the broken sway bar was reason why I was back under car as it was making a rattling noise.
1 st question is do I really need the rear sway bar?
Could I just make my own rear sway bar with 1" square tubing to tie the 2 lower control arms together? I noticed all the ones for sale have the weird bends & don't know if a straight bar would hurt anything?
I have a lathe I want to see if I made some bushing for the rear control arms out of Polyurethane would be better then the Mac rubber bushings? They were hard bushings even though they were rubber.
How important are the rear quad shocks? I took them off my fox body stang but it was mostly drag not street?
