whats up everyone? i havent posted very much on this site, if any, so i'll do a quick intro of myself. I have a 95 GT thats pretty much stock except for a uncatted x-pipe, flowmaster from the cat back and a tremec 3550 tranny.

every since i installed the exhaust my car has been running very funky. idles rolls up and down between 500 and 1500 rpm's and is very rough.

lately i have been getting a rough vibration coming from the engine in my 95 GT around 1000 rpm's. it mainly seems to be happening when i jab in the clutch to stop, when the engine slows down to about 1k rpm's. but after i stop or once the engine settles to its normal idle (about 750 rpm's) or gets above 1200 rpm, its stops. anyone have any clue as to what to look for? i have cleaned the throttle body, maf, tps, and iac valve and that didnt help.

something else that i have encountered is that my car is running very rich, i partially expected this due to not having cats; but a friend has a 94 GT without cats and it doesnt smell like its running nearly as rich as mine. i changed the oxygen sensors in May or June of this year, so i do not think they are bad.

I have come across various articles on the web talking about people who seemed to think the 94/95 computers were the cause of the problem. i read another article that said the 94/95 had to meet emission requirements that made the cars run bad after modifications. it also talked of a few people who had swapped out a 94/95 computer for a fox body computer. does any have any knowledge of this? do you think this would help me any? thanks for the help.

check to see if you have a vaccuum leak somewhere...that would cause crazy idling....does your check engine light come on??? did you clean your tps and iac or buy new ones??? also check your plugs and wires....and yes a fox body computer wouldn't hurt your car...i'm thinking about it for my cobra...just have to change wiring harness....hope this might've been helpful...
