I have 2 10" JL woofers and an amp to power them that I had in my last truck that I'd like to put in the new car, but have a few questions. I have never used the factory deck to wire up an amp. Is there already RCA jacks in the back of the Mach460 H/U? If not, I need a line converter? Also, where do I tap in for the remote turn on lead for the amp. I also don't know how to even get the deck out. I am used to the Ford decks that use two U-shaped removal tools. This is a siz-disc Mach 460 in an 01 GT. Any help is appreciated

I have never taken out the double din Mach radio, but if its tha same as the Ranger,it still used the u shaped removal tools. You will need a line output converter and for the remote turn on you cna used a kew switched 12v source from the radio plug.

No U shaped tool needed. You must remove the trim around the console carefully. It takes all of 60 seconds to do. Then just unscrew the headunit.

There are no RCA jacks on the back of the unit. You will need a harness that converts the signal.

Are these line converters generic, or is it something that will plug into an existing plug and pigtail off? I have read about tapping in around the trunk? Is that right?

You can tap signal using the rear speakers where the 6x8s connect to the amp. Make sure you go with a good brand line level convertor to prevent system noise.
