First off as many of you know, Im going to be installing my turbos in a few weeks. I ordered a LOT of parts last night, but have some things i am stuck on.

A. Will the lightning 90MM MAF work on a blow through setup?
B. What MAF would be best to use on my car for this setup if the lightning wont work?
C. What would running 42# injectors and a different MAF do to my A/F ratio on my way up to G.A? Safe if I dont get into boost? Or should I just keep my currect Injectors (stock) in until I get there?
D. Will a SVT focus fuel pump support 420-440RWHP W/ 42# injectors? ( already ordered it lol...but will KB BAP be needed?)

THANKS!

i would look into the SCT 2400 or 2800 MAF's i think they have one specifically for blow through also.
you have a tune already correct? is it through a handheld or chip? if its a handheld you could have Tim email you a temp tune so you can travel lightly to him for the Dyno tune.
not sure about the HP #'s for fuel pumps for your car...mine is different...
03 Cobra TT with SCT Maf

the SVT focus fuel pumps should work on your set up.

well i really wouldnt know how much the MAF with 42# injectors change your A/F ratio with your current tune and since its quite a drive i dont know....

but here is an idea after its all bolted on leave the inlet tube disconnected form the turbos or intercooler to the T/B that way you can run your current setup up there and just swap injectors and MAF over there

Looks like the "founding fathers" of the N/A have turned to the dark side :nonono: :rlaugh: . I wish you the best of luck with this project though. I did a TT conversion on my old Mitsu 3000GT...That thing was pretty fast.

you may want to consider going to the dual cobra pump setup for the power you will be making. The SCT BA2400 would be ideal for your setup. You may be able to get away with 42# injectors, but may want to upgrade to 60#er's for when you get your block built and really turn up the boost.

sorry i don't have answers for you.. but I do have a question. How would the stock internals hold up to a properly tuned TT setup? Just curious, all I've heard are #s for superchargers, but it seems to me a turbo may not be quite as harsh on the stock rods.

Stock internals should hold up to 400WHP....that could be reached from a supercharger, nitrous, turbo's, or naturally aspirated bolt on's. I would say turbo's and superchargers put equal amounts of stress on the engine. Nitrous isn't as harsh. And cams/other bolt ons are the least stressing.

yeah, i knew that figure but didn't know if it applied to all forms of FI (excluding N2O). In my own mind, it seems like a turbo wouldn't be quite as harsh only because it does have some spool lag, whereas a SC like kenne bell is running full boost throughout the rev range. The potential of a full bolton TT car is ridiculous though, so looks like a built shortblock is in store somewhere in the future. Hotmustang, are you considering a 302BB?

+1 couldn't have said it better. You will peg the Lightning MAF @ 450hp.

Thanks for the replys guys! Ill look into the SCT MAF....and im also looking at a C&L unit thats also used on the HP TT kit.

As far as safe HP...I look at it like this. S/Cs drag down about 60RWHP through parisitic loss.
turbos have 0 parisitic loss (maybe 15HP loss due to exhaust restriction). So equal air being pumped down the engine should put the power up to 440-460 with equal stress on the motor as a 420RWHP S/C car  . I think im going to have Tim lay down at least 440. :D

That should definatly keep me happy the next few years lol.

Thanks Dan! I just picked up the BA 2400 for 238.58 shipped :nice: . I appreciate the help. :flag:
