fiberglass hood

i just bought a fiberglass cowl hood, but the spring on the latch is too stiff for it, therefore screwing it up, making it really hard to latch the hood. Do they sell softer springs on the internet, or is this spring something i can by locally at like a kragens or autozone. Ill post some pics once i get it painted and everything. Thanks.

Thats common on aftermarket hoods. Mine car did that. There is actually a couple of douls that need to be grinded off the latch, once you do that, the latch will raise a bit higher, allowing it to catch the hood.

it'll be better to put hood pins or elsse the hood will have the possibility to fly off cuaset hey are prone to break at the latch
