Fiberglass weight savings?

How much weight would I shave off by installing a fiberglass hood and trunk lid on my 89 notch?

I am not real sure on weight savings but I would say leave the trunk lid as is. I know it will lighten the car but itll take some weight off of the rear end where you need the weight the most. Unless of course its rusted out like alot of trunk lids are, then by all means replace it. hope that helps

i would say by changing just the hood alone to fiberglass , you could take off about 30lbs.

buying a finerglass deck lid will save u a few lbs, 12 i think

cutting out the reinforcement cross-matrix of metal out of the stock trunk deck lid can save you a touch more then 12lbs, like 18lbs

I just installed a cervini's 2.5'' lift-off on my 86, the stock hood weighed 38 lbs and the lift-off wieghed 17 lbs so it took 21 lbs off the nose, i don't think i would mess with the deck lid, just my opinion.
