The PO of my '90 Fox put screw two holes directly in front of the ashtray...he used a small metal piece screwed down to the console which he flipped over the ashtray door to hold it closedsince it was broken.

But I digress.

Now that I've fixed the ashtray I'd like to fill the holes in the console top instead of spending the cash on a new one. What can I use to fill these small holes, preferably something I can find local? Is it worth it or will it just look like crap?

Some body putty, final glaze, should plug the holes fine, and I might put the final vinyl pattern in with an Exacto tip before it dried. Color is an issue, but a little counter sinking before you start will help. I would not bother melting some spastic in there. A good paint store could custom mix a little can to top it off with. Good for cigarette burns if a coarse grit is used for su;rface prep. Any brand names out there? If not, I will see if I have left overs from my fiberglass finishing. Light green stuff that dries faaast is my favorite.
