Finally a chance to get behind the wheel

:D Finally, I managed to enough things connected to take the car out for a drive this morning. Granted there is no exhaust, just the open headers so I kept the ride within the neighborhood. But, let me tell you it was just great.

I can with great satisfaction say that my stroker was worth every penny. The steering, suspension changes I made really changed the way the car drives. The steering is no where as stiff as I thought it might be, the car tracks just great even before an alignment. I can also tell the the car is a whole lot stiffer with the TCP sub frame connectors, Monte Carlo bar, and export brace added.

Man oh man, I cannot wait till I have it all back together and can get it out on the open road.

Hey that's great! Kind of good and bad at the same time.. now you have the winter to fine tune and make sure everything is perfect before you get much driving time.

I hate winter. It's been in storage a couple weeks, and I'm already missing my car so much! :notnice:

The country sheriff here didnt think so, he just smiled as he passed by, and that was with open headers, no license plates, no inspection sticker and no registration sticker :)

Actually I had license plates, registration, insurance card, driver license, but I did not have tail light housings, reverse lights, any interior parts other than a driver seat, steering wheel, and the instrument cluster. The igintion switch is hanging from the wires under the dash. But hey, it runs.....

I got my '67 fastback project car delivered today...what a great feeling to be able to drive your project! Heck, i just have the seats, shifter, e-brake, and instument cluster in mine and I didn't even care. (I also currently dont have a drivers door :) ). My dad has a corvette and my other car is a V6 '00 Saleen replica (the '67 is my dad and I's prject car) and just the sound of that '67 is awesome. I'm not sure if it is, but it sure sounds more powerful than the 'Vette. Good luck with your project!
