I finally got my baby back and almost forgot how to drive it. The mods that were just completed:

Vortec V-2 S-Trim
Tremec TKO II Transmission
Subframe connectors
LCA's
Fuel Pressure and Boost guages (replaced the clock)
Aluminum Driveshaft
Yoke and Bell Housing
Anderson Power Pipe
Obviously computer chip.
New dual friction clutch

The car is completely different and a lot faster!!! Obviously... My questions are:

1. TKO II trans. sits differently in the shifter box than the stock trans. It seems to be higher and to the right. I have to lean a little bit to make the shifts. Does this sound right? It also knocks against something when engine breaking in all gears. It almost sounds like the driveshaft is tapping against something as the torque shakes the trans. Sound right?

2. Now that all this work is completed, I have to drive it 500 miles to break the clutch in. So, he tuned it very conservitavely and without a dyno. So, the idle is all over the place, revving itself up and down and actually stalling sometimes. Any ideas?

Well this is pretty obvious, you need a dyno tune.

Congrats though

The idle is actually affected by how a car is tuned after a supercharger is installed? I am obviously new at this stuff. My mechanic says that my idler control motor is bad. He wants to replace it. Yet, the idle only got screwed up since the blower install.

I have a 98 GT and it's dyno tuned. My idle is nuts when i start the car it will hold at 2000 rmp for 15 secs and slowly come down to normal. When i shift the rpm's seem to stay above normal idle i asked the guy who did my dyno and he told me it was common with an upgraded pulley and that i had nothing to worry about. Also, i have the richard racing pulley i think it's 3.2 maybe puts out about 10 psi could be whats causing idle to stay high. Good Luck and tune that beast as quickley as possible. When you do let me know your numbers. I saw 335 with my newly installed LT's.
