Since I bought my car it always had a funny stance. The right rear quarter sat nearly three quarters of an inch higher than the left, giving it the appearance of leaning to the left. Let it go for a long time until I finall took care of it today. In my case, the problem was the right rear coil spring was turned about an inch farther than the left side spring. Disconnected the shock and quad shock, lowered the rear end down on that side and then used a big pair of channel lock pliers to turn the coil to match the driver side. Now the difference from side to side is less than an eight of an inch. :nice: So anyone who has the same problem, you might want to check the spring orientation. The bottom pigtails should both face the drivers side and be in the same spots.

I see so many Mustangs, mainly fox bodies, that have this problem. Dont know if the cause is the same but its an easy enough thing to check. My 88 suffered from the same problem. Then again, that was the least of the problems on that car... Ive heard some people in the Fox tech side of things that have replaced the springs, insulators, control arms, etc and still had a lean.

It may very well refer to a broken seat rail. I admit, I dont keep up to date on my slang terminology. I think enough people kinda knew what I was talking about. Im just glad its gone. That was one of the last things I wanted to get done before I park her for the winter. That and to use Rust Encapsulator to cover up a few spots that were starting to get surface rust. Got most of that done but Im taking a Saturday off to pull down the gas tank and maybe the exhaust so I can get full coverage. Im sending the exhaust tips out to be cleaned, polished and coated with a ceramic clear to protect the new finish. Then I can start buying the last few odds and ends so that I can complete the T5 swap next spring.
