finally found a fox coupe!

Well, I finally found a old coupe. It is a '88 5spd, guy was the second owner and had it since '90. It was only $1850. It doesn't look great, but it runs ok. My only problem is the clutch will only disengage when i crush it into the floor! I only got it a couple hours ago so i have only looked at the quadrant...which is fine. Any ideas where i should look tommorrow?? The car is completly original, should I switch to Mass Air or stick with the speed density? I only plan on duing a full exhaust on it right away. The kit for the mass-air is $350. I have never done a conversion(always had 90's and above) do it come with a interconnect harness? Well, any advice on which way i should take the mods is cool with me! And where is a reputable speed shop? I'm in lacey/Olympia.

I saw that car on Craig's list, too. You should stick with SD until you get a big cam. SD needs engine vacuum to work well, so a long duration cam will necessitate mass air; short of the cam change, you'll be fine with SD.You can change heads, intake, TB, etc. with no ill effects. So my advice is to wait. I suspect the quadrant is shot if it won't adjust. Did you try pushing it in and letting it slip off your foot, or pulling the pedal up from behind?
