I finally got my Mustang GT Premium last night. It is mineral gray with a black interior and the Shaker 1000 System.
Here are my thoughts so far:
Pros -
It looks AMAZING!
It's FAST!
I am turning as many heads in this car as when I got my Mini Cooper S when the car first came out.
Cons -
If "Quality is Job #1", then Ford is not doing their job. The fit and finish in the car (specifically the passenger side air bag cover) is not great. The aforementioned cover is "peeling off" on one end.
The "Quality is Job #1" sticker in the rear quarter panel windown on the driver's side is peeling off (actually, it would be more accurate to say that it was barely stuck on).
Here are the mods I am planning on doing:
Eleanor body kit (either by BlowbyRacing or Cervinis)
Racing stripes
New wheels (black with machined lip)
Paint (I think that the Mineral Gray is too tan, and I will match the gray to the color of the Eleanor in the most recent "Gone in 60 Seconds").
Drivesoft DVD screen/NAV system
Simply put, the car is the perfect foundation to make it your own. It's fast, economical, and looks great out of the box. However, it has so much potential to mod it to be exactly how you want it. I can't wait to begin this journey.
