Local club had a dyno day today and put the 88 coupe on the dyno.

Mods are as follows-
Trackheat intake
70mm tb
76mm MAF
Bcam (or so I am told, installed by the PO)
Crane RRs

Made peak RWHP of 221 and peak torque of 264. A little lower than I was expecting but #2 cylinder is about 20 psi less than the rest. 135psi vs 155 for the rest of the cylinders.

I still have to some stuff to fix on the car that was done by the guy I bought it off of, reconnect the EGR, replace the PCV components, get rid of the open element breather he had on there. Little stuff like that.

I also need to install my LTs and race bullet "mufflers".

Also replaced the radiator with a nice new aluminum direct fit radiator. Very nice. I pulled the petcock out of the old one to drain it for the intake swap and it was so clogged up that it just dripped a little. Before I had issues with the car heating up slowly as I would drive down the interstate but now it sits right on 180 and doesn't move. Very nice.

not bad, I wouldnt expect a whole lot more with stock heads. Where did you go to get it done? Im looking for a cheap shop I can do a few pulls at and mess with the a/f

went up to VMP Tuning in Debary. Originally they were going to come to Miller Performance in Orlando but we were 2 cars short of the minimum for them to bring their mobile dyno to use so instead we went to them. We were supposed to have about 14 cars but a bunch of guys backed out and didn't say anything until right at the end. It was $50 for 2 pulls with AF

I don't think that you have turndowns on your car do you? I couldn't get an A/Fs because the probe wouldn't clamp down tight enough. If it had been straight mufflers he said it would have worked fine.

The car runs a lot smoother since the intake install and the several vacuum leaks. It used to be very tempermental on cold start up. Much better now, still surges a little but only on a cold start up. I can live with that for now.

I was hoping for around 225-230. so it wasn't much lower

Dynojet or Mustang dyno???

If its a Dynojet you should be making more power. Torqie would be around there as your intake and cam will hurt that a little, but power wise your 225-230 should have been closer. Might need some fine tuning, but over all not too bad!
