We hooked up a computer scanner to the car a few days ago and noticed the ECT sensor voltage going wild. I checked the sensor itself and it was fine, but I figured for the hell of it, I would change the harness since it seemed to read wierd when I wiggled it. Sure enough I cut the harness off, turn it around and see this. . .

For once in god knows how long, my fan actually kicks on on it's own!!!

I guess THIS is why Ford has the wiggle test.

Sorry for the somewhat pointless thread, but I'm so happy right now, you have no idea. I think I'm going to take the money I had stashed away for major repairs (I planned on the pump and radiator) and get some 3.73's and new brakes.

It's peanut butter jelly time

awesome...i hope i figure out whats up with my car gettin too hot. im gonna flush the whole system soon and maybe a new radiator but it was only like 60* today and was gettin hotter than it should :( ...i wish i could fix mine that easy but none of my wires are frayed and my fan kicks on perfectly.....
