Well after alotta long nights, long wait for paint, and trackin all the lil bugs down the coupe is back on the road and doin well! Its a 89' that I've had for a few years but was white (ruff body/paint) and had its better days motor wise (bone stock)
I pulled everythin out to have a good color change done and replaced all moldings/trim/weatherstrip/windshield/quarter windows and other small details. Overall I am happy with the paint but like anyone I have found a few imperfections (not a show car though so **** it) The color is a titanium that the wife picked out but we went with the darker primer to give it some depth.
The motor is a fresh 306 that I built she has a lil over 3k on her now and is runnin like a lil champ! The bottom end has probe forged pistions (9.1), I-beam rods, stock crank, and the obvious new rings/bearings. TFS TW 2.02 heads, TFS Street Int, TFS Stg 1 cam, shorties, 70mm TB, 75mm MAF, 24lb injs, and 3.73s. Overall it may not seem like it but this was a mega budget build and you prob wouldnt belive me if I told you what I have in this motor...I looked/pieced together for 4mo on this motor and people give **** away sometimes!! I built this lil car very mild for my wifes daily driver and 9.1 c/r so I can run the lowest octane I can.
Suspension I did tokico struts/shocks and 1" tokico lowering springs.
This car is by no means FAST but serves its purpose for exactly what I built it for..runs good/relieable/looks good/255 miles per tank on 87
