Hey Gang:

Everyone prolly thought I'd dropped dead!!! Well almost... A combination of work and longtube header problems that just couldn't be solved have slowed up work on my car something fierce... But, yesterday KillerB and I finally solved the header problem... Dropped in a brand spanking new PA racing tubular K-member and presto flasho, they fit... Well, it wasn't quite that easy, but... Anyway, the car IS going to be running this spring with it's new 408 stroker, Spyder intake, Lentech tranny, and some other little tricks that I'm not going to mention...

Just thought I'd put a shout out....

TTYL...

Yes Earl, I thought you were dead, or worse, out of the Mustang business. I'm glad to hear you got the headers and that the car will live again. I guess BBK 1 3/4 longtubes weren't big enough for you?! That's what I have and they fit well. It will be great to see you at the track. Are you going to do a little Ford DragTeam, Car Club racing with the rest of us old guys? With a 408, you don't need any tricks.

Hey Guys:

Thanks.... Things have been crazy... Nonetheless, I am going to get the car ready this year come hell or high water... Not sure if the car will be the same pretty green color or not... I might get the car painted if I could ever decide on color/scheme....

John:

I don't have any new pics yet, but will in a few weeks... We are mocking some things up right now so that I can measure for the powerpipe... KillrB made some side skirts for the engine compartment and we need to figure out how to run the powerpipe through it... Measurement will be tricky... Just got the polished fuel rails in the mail today... That only took Probe a full year to get!!!! The lower is powdercoated black and then I have the polished Spyder intake for the top...

Should look great when finished, but there is a lot more to go!!!!

I am trying to picture the compartment. I guess I just need to see it. When you write "lower" what do you mean? I know the spyder intake is a carb-type configuration so there is no lower intake. Do you mean engine block? Are you going with 42 pound injectors? I am really looking forward to watching you run. There are so few NA combos like yours in the PNW.

Stock:

The EFI Spyder does have a lower intake. It is the Vic Jr. intake. I had to powdercoated black so that the polished aluminum elbow for the top of the Spyder would pop... I also have a polished TB, and am using the ceramic powerpipe... The for fuel rails I am going with polished aluminum... I will be using 42 lb injectors and a whooping 90mm TB... The headers are the Hooker Super Comps for the AOD... That was my clearance problem... I could not find a K-member that would provide sufficient clearance between the rear frame rail and the starter motor mount on the tranny...

Sounds cool earl. Remembering how nice your old combo looked Im sure it will be sweet. I just wish I could have gotten my hands on that crome GT40 upper you had.

AllFord:

Will be using a PMS system and the Wide Band Commander... Dropped the gas tank tonight... This weekend I will hopefully start installing the Aeromotive sumped tank and fuel system...

The GT-40 was beautiful... Hated to part with it, but there was no way it was going to work on this combo... Tried to talk my wife into putting it on her 95, but seeing how it has taken me so long with mine, she was worried I would get her Cobra intake off, and never get the GT-40 installed on hers!!! There is just no faith in this family!!!!!
