this wkend finally had time to pull apart the '69. so i'm a bit excited about that. had a feeling someone may have done something to it because the paint & lack of history, but seems bone stock. guy said it was original but can never trust with engine that old. grease was painted over w/valve covers off for some reason. other than that had fomoco logo paper gaskets... two chamber filled with hardened oil-chiselled those out, not sure if ever had valve job?? (fomoco paper gasket?), overall internals seems to be in good shape. never realized just how heavy old headers and the intakes where. gonna be poor for awhile because ALL my $$$ going straight into building it.
