finally the video of my crap pass

106 is good for stock heads..60ft times can be better tho..you're doing us Bcam faithful proud lol

(im getting bored with all the other forums so i figured i'd poke my head in here and see whats goin on lol)
haha your one of the cars thats inspired me to run P heads with a B cam

kinda pissed it took me so ling to get my car to the track and when i do my timing if off like its never been. i really want to know what it had in it for missing gears and spinning

nope... my wiper motor was going up so i just got rid of it.

doing a tubular front end this winter along with milled P heads. trying to fit long tubes and kirkeys in the budget also. i need to get my seat lower for sure

how much you taking off the heads? what size are the chambers going to be?
at least .020" need to talk with rick more about that still. want to try and get the compression around 11:1 got to see how far we can go with out causing issues.

i need to get my volvo s70 done so i can get the LX back in the garage and the motor out. then we have the x275 car to get the motor back in with the new flywheel and for the race in febuary

im just saying i dont think you can get 11:1 on a stock bottom end no matter how much you mill the heads(considering you can only mill them so far)...i think the P's are supposed to be 59-61cc as cast...i think you need a small dome piston to get much past the low 10:1 range

nah i only took .010" off mine..he was trying to get me to go .015-.020, but i didnt want any trouble lining up the intake ports and such since i did a little port matching on mine(tried to anyway lol)

play with a compression calculator and you'll see what i mean...

i just entered values as .039 head gasket, 4.1 head gasket bore, 58cc chamber, 0 decked and say -4cc for the stock pistons(im not sure what they are exactly, but somewhere around that area IIRC) and it comes up with like 9.77:1

im guessing mine is right around there..i never had the chambers cc'd, so im assuming 58..maybe more, maybe less..i dont know

yup... im pretty happy with how it runs for so little done! just need more weight out of it to keep up with them damn coupes

For conversation's sake, let me tell you what happened with my Stangs a couple years ago:

After I went 12.91 @ 103.70 in my '89 LX hatchback with the stock 302, I put a ProCharger on the car and went 11.36 @ 122.4. (long story...) Then I pulled the entire drivetrain out of the car to upgrade it. Coincidentally, I picked up a '93 notchback roller at the same time I was parting out my '89 LX hatchback, so I just transferred the entire drivetrain out of the hatchback and put it into my notchback. Both cars had exactly the same options, as far as PW, PDL, stereo, etc.

The same drivetrain at the same track in the same weather conditions ran 13.24 @ 106.41 in the notchback. (this was on dry rotted kumho street tires, unlike the hatchback pass which was on BFG DRs) I eventually put DRs on the notchback, but didn't take it back to the track. It hooked as well as the hatchback did on the DRs though.

Okay, so that was a lot of blabbin' just to say that I thought it was a unique test to run the same drivetrain in two different bodies. My conclusion is that the notch was obviously faster (2.7mph in the traps), but I think the hatch hooked a little better, even when they were both on DRs on the same suspension.
