Thanks for all the information. This device deserves a closer look. Too bad I just sunk $500 into a new clutch today.

This one looks interesting. How does it work? Do you have to unplug an O2 sensor to plug in the Bosh sensr? How accurate is it?

On mine I put it in place of the dirver's side rear o2. Some people have a new bung welded in.

For those with DSL or cable modem, ck out the Two Guys Garage Video on Innovate Motorsports homepage...pretty cool and informative.
I'm headed over to download TwEECer RT demo software...

This is interesting stuff! I'm going to have a look on the tweecer web site. I don't know squat about tuning these late model cars but I think my stock 96 Cobra is leaving a bit on the table when it's above 5000 rpm.

I wonder, is it a must to have something to monitor A/F and data logging (LM-1 is another $350) or can the tweecer be trusted. I should go read the info on their web site before I make myself look too stupid lol

you still need a wideband o2 to monitor a/f properly. if the software can monitor a/f, just buy the bosch wideband o2 for $60 and use the software to read the signal off the sensor

The software won't read directly from the o2. You could just pay for some dyno time if you want to get the a/f right.

Yep. You can get the LM-1 for $350. You can get a dyno for $50, just decide which way is best for you. Also you don't need the data logging capabilities, but it is fun to have. For most people it would be best to get an R/T tweecer, then take it to a dyno with a bevy of tunes ready to go. See what gets your a/f to 13.1. Bump timing until it starts to knock then back down one degree.

It's a blast. For about the price of a base Tweecer you could get a mail order tune which you have no control over. And if you want to change something or find out that your a/f is too lean/rich guess what you have to do...pay someone to change what you can do in 2 minutes.

I get my nitrous lines made on monday (the C&L pipe has the nitrous boss on the back, need longer lines) so we'll see what my car will really do

Very interesting thread. I have a mail order chip which is good, but I know there s more power lurking in there. I only run 3.5 degs timing with 93 octane. What are you guys at? Also my AF curve isnt very flat, and the 2-3 shift isnt that strong. My shift points arent quite optimal...

So whats the total cost of this set-up? Interesting thread, thanks!

Well, here's one way.

Buy a base tweecer for $380. Now send your current chip in to Mike Glover the owner of STKR and Tweecer. He will read your chip and mail it back to you. Now he e-mails what he read off the chip and you load it into the tweecer software. Modify the tune as needed. Add 1.5 degrees timing (or if it starts knocking, back down a degree), play with the MAF curve until your a/f is to your liking (13.1), change your wot shift points, up the valve-body pressure for the 2-3 shift. You will need about an hours dyno time ($50-75) to get your a/f correct.

Also, you can alter the entire maf curve, not just globally. If you are too lean at 2000 and too rich at 5000 you can deal with that. Also you can play with part throttle shifts. I got tired of the 1-2 shift coming at 9 MPH!!!!!!!! And OD coming on at 32 unless the button was off. I fixed that easily in a few minutes.

Glad to help, I was preparing to pay ALOT of $$$$ for a dyno tune an 4 position chip (In the high $400s). My cousin and brother turned my on to TwEECer and I can do it all myself with little hassle. Now I don't mail anything in if it isn't right. I don't have to wait for the company that does dyno tunes to come to town and adjust my settings.

So $450 for a tweecer and dyno time. In the long run and short run it made sense to me.

Great info, Red35th. Two questions though - Do you know if STKR can read any chip? (We've have an SCT and Diablo) And I trust I could I use this on both of our GTs, right? Many thanks!!!

I'm fairly certain that mike can read both of those chips. As for using it in both cars, you could but not at the same time. The tweecer must physically be connected to the eec to work.

Yup. And I am almost positive that Mike can read the most every chip. If you have your EEC flashed you can read it yourself.

And like jstreet said the Tweecer must be on the car to work.

I'm playing with the part throttle shift functions right now. I almost have it just right, but the 2-3 shift comes a bit late. Ahh, the beauty of Tweecer.

EDIT: Just a heads up if anyone want to try the Tweecer software on the website.

Go look at your passenger door, right where the lock mechanism is. There should be a small rectangular sticker with a 4 digit computer code. Mine is CHH2, some are GTG3, there are alot of them. Then e-mail me and I can send you a stock tune or check the website and download one that is very close to yours then you can play with it.
