Saw Ryan, his dad, and Runs10s at the track with a few others... nice to see everyone. PIR was really slow tonight, even after we had to watch the Pro Ralley guys show us how bad their cars are at drag racing.

So here's the meat:

1.655 60'
5.218 330'
8.195 1/8
82.14 mph
10.766 1000'
12.945 @ 103.03 1/4

1.658 60
5.204 330'
8.179 1/8
82.30 mph
10.751 1000'
12.932 @ 102.95 1/4

1.692 60'
5.194 330'
8.165 1/8
82.34 mph
10.733 1000'
12.911 @ 102.99 1/4

I had one more run, a 13.02 with a 1.697 against a All Ford Hatch that ran 12.6. During this last run I heard a really loud BANG from the right rear at about 20' and again when I made the turn at the end of the track. I did drive home, but I dont know what happened. I figure either the upper control arm torque box is mashed, the diff is broken, or I was somehow able to drive and run fine on a broken axle (not likely).

Im really excited to have my 12s with the stock longblock... even if it took cracking Ryan up with my weed sprayer cooling methodology.

I also had a friend there photographing the launches, and I sky'ed the tires on all 3 runs. I look forward to showing those off.

The items I changed from last week are..
1. remembering to stiffen the rear suspension from off the street.
2. running on 8.5 inch wide slicks instead of 10.5 (thanks for the suggestion Chung).
These two items took .05-.07 off my 60' with little effect on the MPH, although is was a little lower than a couple weeks ago with the 10-15 mph head wind tonight.

i was there tonight too but in the bimmer im happy with it even though it took 3 runs to get it in the 15s but after the 1st time 15.8 is lock in i feel i could bracket it at that time even though i did get 2 15.7 . im going to try and tack the 88 out the next t&t day is that sat. or do i got to wait till wenesday

Yeah.... Ive been under the car for a bit now and I cant find anything, so I have to assume its in the rear, whatever it is.

Theoretically, several unjust 1.65s in a night really isnt a good idea with a stock 28 spline trac-loc. The axles seem happy, but I cant tell what else is going on. It doesnt whine on the highway... just makes a huge CLUNK when I give it enough gas at low speed.

I'll try and make a few more observations and then perhaps give it to someone to take apart later in the week. Im not into touching my own rear end... let alone someone elses. :D
Im hope you know what I mean ;)

Nice to see they worked out for you.. Them 8.5 really hook nice. :D It sucks you have everything working good, then the rear goes out..

They worked out better than at least one other part on the car expected too ;)
Those tires dead hooked... I should have never worried about making that move...

Yep that sounds good to me.. Also relocate the weight (bat in trunk). Yeah I need to put my car on a diet. I need some light weight seats, fiberglass hood etc. Keep up the good work. All you need now is more power!! :D

Im beginning to think that a messed up a tooth on one of the spider gears. While in a slow tight turn, if Im on or off the gas it makes a BIG clunk from the back (if Im in neutral it doesnt do it). At no other time does the car do anything abnormal.

Tork-locs are cheap :) I needed to have this one rebuilt anyways.

If this is all I broke getting a 1.65 60' out of 239rwhp, I'll be happy :) To say I was abusive is a massive understatement. I gave the car a nice wash and Zaino today and put it back into street trim for the week of commuting. I think it should feel loved.
