So about 2 years ago I pretty much came to the conclusion that I had to have a Fox of my own, because lusting after everyone elses was just getting rediculous. But with a 15 month vacation to the middle east coming up, I didn't really want to buy and just let it sit at my folks' house in WI the whole time. Lucky for me about a month before returning home, I stumbled acrossed an ad on Craigslist with one crappy little picture...as luck would have it, he had already stored the car, but as a former marine he told me to give him a call when I was back in Wisconsin and I could come take a look at it.

Well about 20 or so hours ago I went to check it out...and now it's mine

Less than 58k, almost completely original parts, bone stock...but come springtime that'll change.

Sorry about the crappy pics but there was another car in the garage..a little cramped! Once I drive it down to Kentucky I'll take some better ones.

lol I really wanted to wash it mainly to get the salt off but my garage is real flat and I'm pretty sure I would've flooded it. It got pretty wet on the ride home so I just kinda dried it off...looks good though huh?

How much did you pay for it? Oh and your first mod should be subframes. My vert felt like a wet noodle before them.

I often drive my coupe (which has a complete aftermarket suspension) and vert back to back, so before the subframes I felt like I was going to die if I didn't take corners like I was driving a truck. The best mods I have done to the vert to date is subframes, springs and struts & shocks. It really transformed the car. Felt like new again.

Thanks for the warm welcome! To answer your questions, my plans for mods before summertime will be intake, headers/exhaust, subframe connectors and possibly gears. I was gonna pay $5,500 for it but the guy offered a set of American Racing rims with brand new tires for an extra $300 so I couldn't resist. I might throw the AR's on, melt them for fun and throw some all weather/good snow tires on them and make them my winter rims so I can store the Cobras till spring.

And I'll try and get some engine shots up soon. Unfortunately my brand new digital camera took a dip in my hottub during a party last week so I gotta borrow one.

Nice find! I was on cloud nine when I bought my latest Mustang, so enjoy the feeling like I did! (I stared through the hotel window at mine the first night I had it!)
