well here is a slew of questions for you guys, if you can help please do, i was looking for the eec test conector in my stang and there dosn't seem to be one, i have had a few fords and have a auto x ray scanner, but for the life of me cannot find it, second what color are the stock injectors? and i will have to get pics for this one, but the front struts have these big nuts on them with a flat head screw driver thing that looks to be a adjuster, the struts are yellow and have a blue lable of some sort, cannot make it out. there is also this read bar that goes from one side to the other, behind about 2 feet behind the stabalizer. there also what looks to me is a under drive pully on the crank only, it is a really dark purple like color, i think i will have to get pics of this stuff if anyone wants them, i have been planning on throwing some cash at this car, but if there has been other stuff done, kinda be a waste.

now as for the heads if i take the valve cover off is there any numbers to find out what they may be? they are cast iron, so they could just be stock. feels like i'm banging my head off the wall today. the check engine light is either diabled or burnt out, i havn't had time to tear apart the cluster yet.

Sorry for all the questions, but you guys who have been around these cars alot longer than i have thats for sure.

Once again, thanks for any input.

Should be on the driver side closes to the firewall behind the strut tower

orange

Yes that means there adjustable and the yellow/blue scheme makes me want to say Bilsteins

You should take pics of these for other people to help you ID

i hooked my scanner up and got the following codes 82-something about the thermactor air circuit, and 41 indicating lean not swithcing, must be a bad o2??

GT-40 heads will be 3 verticle bars on the front of the heads.
GT-40P heads will have 4 verticle bars on the front of the heads
E7TE (stock) can't be identified with the head on the engine. It will say E7TE on the underside of the head towards the cam.

The stock crank pulley is about 6".

On the front of the head where the accessories mount. They'll be plainly visable.

You can see them in this pic. Just look at the front of the head and you'll see the 4 bars.
