Finished install of PI intake

Cool!! That's exactly what I needed! :nice:

Did you have to get on top of the engine to get back there? I'm not a small guy so I dread having to do that.

Thanks for that info!

I just reached across behind the engine to get at it - I think from the passenger side if I remember correctly as it was fairly a clean shot because you have to remove everything on top of the engine.

Hey man! You shoulda let me know you were doing the intake. I love my comp cams and when using them as a blower cam I was making AWSOME power above 3000rpms. I took off the blower though now kev you oughta ride in her now. I put some bolt ons and a healthy dose of the bottle, she feels MUCH faster. I will give ya a call next weekend I have off cause I wanna go out to the lakefront. I just put a 95 cobra bumper on the car and new nitto drags. The car is comming together nicely. I like the adapters though, that might be a thing to do when I blow this intake up.

I thought you got out the Mustang scene. Anyway give me a call when you come into New Orleans. Are you talking about the weekend of August 7th? I need to see how your car is running. What did you do with the blower anyway?

It's nice to see people pimp a companies product and all, but 600 bucks for a PI intake swap Compared to the way I did it for under $170, no comparison.

For 600 bucks you might as well do a headswap.[/QUOTE]

Like I stated earlier I plan to put a blower on it in a couple of months. I did not want the compression or the issue with RTV with a blown application. I rather bite the bullit and just pay the extra money for reliability.

I'm waiting for the price to come down...or someone else steal the design and make it cheaper.

Hey KBOY..i know you have PI intake and Cams..are your heads stock? Cause the NPI heads really arnt that bad...one..and 2..leave em that way theres not such a problem with charging, etc.. doto compression...what kind of gains did you gain with pi cams and intake?

He does have the stock heads...and he is going to T&J's in August to dyno tune...

Hey Kev...I meant to ask you what difference did you notice with the modified intake. Did they shave the mount for the plenium/throttle body to allow it to fit?

I still do have the stock heads but with Comp Cams. The heads aren't really that bad at all. By putting on the intake and cams it is a whole other car after 3000 rpm. By me doing this I will be able to run a blower in the future without the worries of compression from a headswap. Like what Coramprat said I also will be going to T&J in a couple of weeks for a tune and to see what type of gains I have compared to the headswap.

I really could not tell. I think what they do thou is shave down the plenum area for clearance issues. It is a clean kit I would say.

I'm just wondering because I bet I can get the intake cut to fit myself. Or at least take it to my neighbor and see what he thinks. That way I would only need the plates.
