Yes, yet another FWA/clutch cable/quadrant question... sorry.
Is it possible to install a firewall adjuster when still using the stock clutch quadrant? I was just driving along the other day when my shifter became near impossible to get into all gears. I'm pretty sure the cable is just stretched out b/c if I drive barefoot and push the clutch all the way down to the floor it'll ease into gear.
I have a UPR firewall adjuster sitting around and I'm thinking maybe that would take up enough slack in the cable, but I've never heard of anyone running a FWA with a stock quadrant. Is it possible?
I'll be ordering an aluminum quadrant and probably a new OEM cable, but I really can't be without a car for the next few days. This is like the worst possible time for this to happen, I have classes starting and a couple job interveiws this week.
