I was thinking of trying some tri-y's on my car, but I am putting in a rack and pinion kit in. My super comps got dimpled by my stock steering (idler and pittman arm), and won't work with my rack either (it also seems to hit in the exact place my stock stuff hit). Do the try-y's have any more clearance around the steering? Love the car, it has most of the same performance parts as I desire for my 68 (powerful yet balanced). Great work.

Maybe i'll see you at Knotts. A group of us from Vintage Mustang Forum are having a cruise in on the morning of the show and were all meeting up at the Borders book store in Yorba Linda off of Weir Canyon at 7:00 and departing at 8:00. Come if you can. Other Stangnet guys...your welcome too!

Tri-ys are made differently by different manufacturers. The traditional Shelby-types are routed differently than my stock Doug's Tri-Ys were routed. Both configurations (original Doug's and my modified ones) have plenty of clearance for the stock steering arms. I don't know about the rack fitment.
