Hello this is my first foxbody and it’s not perfect but it’s unique for sure and I love it it needs little things like power windows hooked back up possibly fixed the tranny is a cobra t5 so the Speedo cable connector is different so I’m not getting a speed and minor things like a tune up but it’s a 408w stroker here is a picture of it today
The body has only 91,000 miles This is Day 1 and will be around in my little family for years and I hope to share all my progress with you

Thank you the Price was just right. I plan to repaint it for sure I’m gonna see what it has for internal I wouldn’t mind procharging it but I want to learn more about these cars and the engine before I do anything crazy with it . It already scares the crap out of me haha

I got to tinker today and got the old starter out because it was shot (teeth chipped) so I went ahead and ordered this that’s where I’m at with it now. Long work week ahead so nothing till this weekend

Haven’t posted in a while been working and saving $ (and spending it now) I have decided to add boost to it. I’m gonna be using on3’s hot side and 76/65 journal bearing turbo Greg@ on3 said it will ship Monday. For the carb I’m going with Holley Sniper Master Kit (refurbished only $999) The suspension has been beat to so I’ve ordered some new shocks/control arms/springs for the rear now I gotta think of what I’m doing up front. Probably tubular k member and control arms with coilovers as it seem effective.
The car needs paint bad it’s hideous
Still deciding on color...

Is that the turbo on3 recommended? Seems a bit on the small side for a 408.

Turbo seems small...but on3 knows their turbo stuff. Sounds like that engine has some compression in it. Might want to run a compression test and see where your numbers come in.

If it scares you now, you will be puckering the exit hole with a turbo.

You'll pretty much have to go tubular everything up front to fit that On 3 kit. I'm pretty sure they do all their fitments based around the UPR kit. I had an 04 GT with the On 3 kit that would hurt a lot of peoples feelings.

Finally got a chance to mess with it for a little bit I was able to do a good chunk of work on it yesterday. It would not start due to dead spots on the flywheel because the previous owner had too thin of bolts holding starter in so I made progress towards that I got the transmission out in the Most effective way driveshaft - trans - bell housing. That was after having to take a sawzall to the headers because previous owner welded straight to them.. lol. Will try to get some time today to get pressure plate-clutch- flywheel off.
Up top I was able to get a few things out to test fit the turbo and see what all is in the way ( alternator/upper radiator hose/ignition box)I got the oil feed/return lines I gotta hook up too I’m just waiting till I clock the turbo .
Holley sniper should be here next week after that I’m just gonna need top hat and to figure out what I’m gonna do for exhaust I was pushing towards hood dump because it’s not gonna be a daily driver it’s gonna be straight race car with street races here and there . Anyways here are some pictures more one the way soon

Yea the previous owner forgot that there was no fluid in it when I drove it home over an hour I couldn’t hear the whine because it has open headers but I’m lucky it didn’t blow up on that trip with zero fluid I was looking at this rebuilt c4 that is semi local listed for $300. If I’m correct I should still be able to use my driveshaft with that.

The idle reminds me of the intro of Hot For Teacher, but with less misfiring.
