First Mod, Rear Diff Cover.

Going to replace the rear diff cover in my 8.8" diff. Is Royal Purple 75W-90 with friction modifier a good choice? I also purchased a lube locker gasket for the job.

Thatll all work fine , just use the factory fill port to determine if it’s full - not the one on the cover . Otherwise it will be overfilled

Do you mean drive the car in a figure eight to stress the diff and check for noise?

I mean to check if the friction modifier is adequate
Does not really stress the rear end just moves the clutch packs back and forth
