I FINALLY found a good deal and traded in my '99 GT for an '05

Well, my friend raced me yesteray in his '98 Z28, stock, auto with just an air lid and flowmaster.

From a rolling start, I got the jump about 1/2 car length, then after about 30mph, it was all over. His old LS1 pulled like a bit_h on me about two car lengths by around 100mph shut down.

I've been with him in his Z when we destroyed other cars, so I know how fast these LS1's are.

Id there inexpensive mod's I can do to pull ahead of his stock LS1? I'm stuck with this car payment now and in school, so try to go easy on me. Thanks.

why not race from a dead stop instead of a roll, might get him off the line, and hold him off for a while.

"Dustbuster on Wheels"

So when are we going to get a GT that is going to hang with the old LS1's?

A tune and high octane gas should do the trick. I've beat 3 in my stock Mach, It's a driver match.

Yea, but for that money you will be racing a stock LS2 Vette, we already have a mustang that will beat a stock LS1 F Body.....03/04 COBRA

Are you saying a stock fbody going to beat a 03/04 Cobra? Thats not even a close race. Mach's are a driver race with a stock fbody a tune with 91 octane gas will do the same with the 05 trust me. Maybe I've read this wrong or you've just been misinformed.

Oh all the internet Bs..............
